Nicolas Michel (1949) of Swiss nationality, former Professor at the Geneva University Law Faculty and the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and former Legal Counsel of the United Nations, has been appointed on 5 December 2017 as a Member of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal effective 1 January 2018.
On 12 December 2017, the party-appointed Members of the Tribunal unanimously appointed Professor Michel as the President of the Tribunal effective 1 January 2018.
Judge Rosemary Barkett was appointed to replace Judge Gabrielle McDonald as arbitrator to the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal, effective October 1, 2013.

5 November 2012, Professor Bruno Simma was appointed as a Member of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal, effective 1
December 2012.

Herbert Kronke
was appointed as a Member of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal, effective 1 September 2012.
Mr. O. Thomas Johnson Jr., a long-time partner and senior counsel in Covington &
Burling’s global arbitration practice, was appointed to replace Mr. George H.
Aldrich as arbitrator to the
Iran-United States Claims Tribunal, effective April 1, 2012.
The President and Members of the Iran-United States Claims
Tribunal have decided unanimously to
appoint Mr.
Christiaan Mark Johan Krӧner to be Secretary- General of the Tribunal with
effect from 1 January 2012.
